Information Literacy

Arranging information literacy sessions for your research

All new Research Students are invited to attend the Research Student Support Seminar which is held in January, contact the Research Office for more details.

Faculty Librarians can provide one to one sessions on literature searching skills. We will give you an overview of the relevant electronic databases and full-text e-journals in your subject area.

We can also cover searching methods, setting up personal tables of contents, current awareness services, getting the best from the Internet and connecting to other academic libraries.

Accurate and consistent bibliographic citation is essential. Links to various guides on bibliographic citation have been gathered together for easy use and comparison.

EndNote is the bibliographic software which is supported by the University for the storage and organisation of bibliographic references.
We also provide training sessions in the use of EndNote. These sessions are advertised on Unilife and on the staff development pages.
