Library Collections

There is much more to your library than books on shelves.

You have access to a library collection that includes a wide range of ebooks, DVDs and CDs, journals, newspapers, theses, specialist collections, statistics and maps.

Your online experience is well supported through extensive access to ejournals, ebooks and other electronic resources. These services are delivered at our Libraries across the Treforest, Glyntaff and Cardiff and Newport campuses.

Whether you visit us in person, or online we hope you will find the library a comfortable and welcoming place. Our friendly staff are on hand to give help and advice, in person, online or on the phone.

Suggest a Book for Purchase

The Library welcomes suggestions for new library books, DVDs or CDs.

We will consider all suggestions, bearing in mind their suitability for our collections as well as any budget constraints that may be in place. Please see our Collection Management Policy for full details.

If you are a lecturer and need books for a reading list then please contact your Information Librarian.
You may also request a book not held by the Library through Interlibrary Loan.

  • Check FINDit to make sure that we don’t already have what you’re looking for.
  • Complete the resource suggestion form giving as much detail as possible.
