You will need your student ID card to use the facilities in the Library.

Loan entitlement

Full and part-time undergraduate students: 15
Students may borrow a maximum of 5 items from Merthyr Tydfil College Library

Full and part-time taught postgraduate students: 15
Students may borrow a maximum of 5 items from Merthyr Tydfil College Library

Staff and postgraduate research students: 25
Staff and researchers may borrow a maximum of 10 items from Merthyr Tydfil College Library

External: 6
There is no external membership loan entitlement at Merthyr Tydfil College Library

My Account

All Library members are provided with an account which can be accessed via the My Account link on FINDit.

My Account allows you to:

  • see your loans and the dates they are due back
  • renew your loans
  • view your reservations and their status
  • see any fines you have incurred
  • save records to your e-shelf

You login to My Account using your student ID number and password.

Inter-library loans

Students: up to 5 requests per week.
Staff and research post-graduates: up to 10 requests per week
Undergraduates and taught postgraduate students will be able to request 5 free Inter library loans. Once this limit is reached a charge of £3 will apply for each inter library loan. For more information, visit the Inter-library Loans page.

Visiting other libraries

Students access to other UK university libraries via the SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries) scheme. For more information, visit the SCONUL Access webpage (external link).
